Susan J. Anderson, 64, of Eau Claire, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 5, 2005, at Clairemont Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center, after a brief battle with cancer.She was born April 29, 1941, at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire to Robert & Nordica Johnson. Susan began her career as a nurse and later received her Ph.D. in psychology. She enjoyed a long career helping others and especially enjoyed times spent with her grandchildren.She is survived by her three sons, Tony (Pam) Amundson of Eau Claire, Craig (Erica) Amundson of River Falls, Jason of Chippewa Falls; their father, Chuck (Ann) Amundson and their daughter-in-law, Jeanine Jerome; grandchildren, Angela (Tim), Erica, Tyler, Mackenzie, Haley; great-grandchildren, Elias, Kiya, Ava and Olivia.Susan was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Steve Anderson; her parents; sister, Shirley Sivertson and son, Rick Amundson.A memorial service will be held at Bethesda Lutheran Brethren Church on Monday, May 9th, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. with a lunch to follow.Smith Funeral Chapel and Crematory is assisting the family with the arrangements.
