Cynthia Lee "Cindy" Traylor, 56, passed away peacefully at her home with family surrounding her on Friday, January 14, 2011, after a short battle with cancer.

Service: 10 a.m. Monday in Laurel Land Chapel of Chimes. Interment: Pecan Wells Cemetery, outside of Hamilton, Texas. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Laurel Land.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3301 West Freeway, Fort Worth, TX 76107.

Cindy was born July 14, 1954, in Odessa. She was a member of the Texas Girls Choir for many years and traveled extensively. She was also a contestant in the Miss Texas Pageant in 1970. She adored her grandchildren and cherished her time with them. She loved cooking, particularly with hot peppers. She and her husband Gary owned and operated a Mexican restaurant in Mansfield and attended Zestfest regularly. She also loved gardening. Cindy retired from Target after 25 years, where she received numerous awards and recognition.

Survivors: Loving husband of 28 years, Gary Traylor; sons, Steven King and wife Shannon of Burleson, and Eric King of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Avery, Steven, Aaron, Jackson, Avone, and Angel; parents, Juanetha and Howard Yeakel of Fort Worth; brother, Ronny Gage and wife Sue of Irving; mother and father-in-law, Helen and John Traylor; brothers-in-law, Jay Traylor and wife Lucie, and Guy Traylor and wife Mitsi and children Caylie and Christopher; and numerous other family members and friends.
