Anna V. Atkinson 92, of Huntington passed away at 7:45 a.m. on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at Parkview Huntington Hospital. She was a 1936 graduate of Rock Creek High School in Wells County. She worked at E-Systems Memcor for many years. She was a 50 year member of St. Peter's First Community Church and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star where she was a past Worthy Matron.

She was born on March 29, 1918 in Wells County, a daughter of Boston and Iva (Buell) Fate.

She was united in marriage to Clarence "Dutch" Atkinson on June 17, 1939 in Markle. He preceded her in death on March 30, 1992.

Survivors include a son: Robert and his wife Jose Ann Atkinson of Huntington; a daughter: Carolee and husband Dennis Kramer of Muncie; a brother: B.J. Fate of Michigan; a sister: Sharlee Klefeker of Bluffton; five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother: Robert Fate; a sister: Avis Wright and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.

Services will be held on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. following visitation at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel.

Interment will be at the St. Peter's First Cemetery in Huntington.

Memorials are to March of Dimes or to St. Peter's First Community Church both in care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
