Bill Armstrong was taken to the Osceola hospital Monday. He has been seriously ill for some time and we hope now he will improve and be back to health again.

William Francis, son of Henry and Laura Armstrong, was born at Atlantic, Iowa, March 4, 1871 and passed away at Woodburn, Iowa, June 20, 1936, age 65 years, 3 months and 16 days.

Soon after his birth, the family moved to Nebraska City, Neb., where Mr. Armstrong grew to manhood. He later returned to Iowa and made his home at Conger, in Warren County.

It was here that he was united in marriage to Effie McDaniels, on August 11, 1897. To this union thirteen children were born, four having preceded their father in death. Mr. Armstrong leaves his wife and nine children, namely; Rosamond Hamilton, Des Moines; Peter Armstrong, St. Charles; Charles Armstrong, Des Moines; Samuel Armstrong, Osceola; Frances McClure, New Virginia; Mary Foreman, Des Moines; Richard, Clifford and Harriet at home. Also 14 grandchildren, his mother, two brothers, Pete and Henry of Denver, Colorado.

Three children died in infancy, Ted passed away in 1930, age 20.

He was an industrious man, a conscientious husband and father, and was regarded as a good friend and neighbor by many.
