Alvin H. Alexander, 850 Old Washington Rd., died March 11, 1962, at 8 p.m. following an illness of two weeks. He was the last of his immediate family.

He had worked for American Cynamide, Bridgeville, for 12 years, retiring in 1949. From 1950 to 1956, he served as Justice of Peace in Peters Township. Mr. Alexander also served as Notary Public for six years.

Born in Clarion, Pa., March 17, 1878, he was a son of the late Capt. Alvin and Lucy Barber Alexander.

On March 23, 1907, he married Olive Reed in Homestead.
They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on March 23, 1957. He was a member of Central Presbyterian Church.

Friends are being received at the W. Leonard Griffith Funeral Home this evening from 7-9 o'clock and from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday. Services will be held from the funeral home Wednesday, March 14 at 11 a.m. in charge of the Rev. Joseph H. Rodgers. Central Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Clarion Cemetery, Clarion.

The deceased was a member of the Center Presbyterian Church.
