She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and a former member of Annunciation Catholic Church, Havelock. She was a member of the Civitan Club in Havelock.
She is survived by two sons, Timothy G. Burgess of New Bern; Thomas L. Burgess of Washington, DC; one daughter, Sharlene Burgess-Foley of Havelock; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
Burial will follow at New Bern National Cemetery.
