Lily R. Logan, 93, of Nampa, died Saturday, June 23, 1990, at her home. Lily Root Logan was born July 19, 1896, in Cedar City, Utah, to George Anderson and Ada Holland Root Stewart. She was reared and educated in Utah. After her schooling she helped raise her brothers and sisters following her father's death. She married Ervin F. Logan July 25, 1913, in Parowan, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Mesa, Arizona LDS Temple Jan. 12, 1960. Following their marriage they lived in Utah, Oregon and Idaho. Since 1933 they had made their home in Nampa. She had worked as a homemaker her entire married life. With a passion for the nursing profession, she was a loving mother and grandmother who nursed her entire family. Mr. Logan died on Feb. 5, 1988. She was a very active member of the LDS Church where she held numerous positions. She was also a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.
She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Lucy and Claude Hart of Portland, Mildred and Al Entwistle of Boca Raton, Fla.; and Afton Watson of Salt Lake City; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ervin J. and Marjorie E. Logan of Nampa and Roy and Maureen Logan of Lowman; two brothers, Vegene Stewart of St. George, Utah and William Stewart of Driggs, Idaho; two sisters, Idona, Leigh of Salt Lake City and Jesse Barron of Boise; 13 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death lay her parents, an infant child, two sisters and a brother as a small boy.
