Mrs. Joice Fuller, Thurman, age 64, of Jonesmill Rd., Whitesburg, Ga., passed away Thursday, December 30, 2010.
She was born June 23, 1946 in Carrollton, Georgia, the daughter of the late Emmett E. [Alonzo] Fuller [1918-1995] and Nizzie [Nezzie Irene] Thompson Fuller, [1920-2001].
Mrs. Thurman was a homemaker and a member of Eastside Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William "Billy" [M.]Thurman and her sister, Virginia [Virginia ElaineFuller] Tuggle.
Survivors include her children, Charlie & April Thurman of Carrollton, Billie Jo Bradley of Whitesburg, Michelle Duke and Terri Rayburn of Acworth, Sam Duke of Whitesburg and Casey Duke of Acworth; sisters and brother in law, Judy & Gary Brown of Carrollton, June Williford of Whitesburg, Janice Fuller of Villa Rica and Charlotte Fuller of Palmetto; brother, Tony Fuller of Whitesburg; also surviving are 4 grandchildren, Stephanie Bradley, Amy Bradley, Toby Bradley and Pearce Thurman.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 1, 2011 at 2 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Gary Brown and Rev. Jimmy Henry officiating. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Interment will follow in Carroll Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 5 PM until 8 PM.
