Ella Ruth Fann, 92, of McLeansboro died 12:44 a.m. Feb. 6, 2005, at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro. She was a retired inspector for Owens Glass Co. in Alton and also worked as a nurse's aid at a Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, mental health facility. Mrs. Fann was born Oct. 6, 1912, in Gallatin County to Alonzo and Mary Edith Henson Edwards. She married Herman Fann Oct. 4, 1939, in St. Charles, Mo.; he died in 1989. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro. The Rev. Robert Sefried will officiate. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery near McLeansboro. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro. Mrs. Fann is survived by a brother, John Edwards of McLeansboro; nephews Bill Edwards and wife Margaret of Scranton, Pa., and David Skundrich and wife Connie of Jackson, Mich.; nieces Carmen Edwards of Phoenix, Ariz., and Nancy Brakeville and husband Bill of Alton; and a great-nephew and nice, Bill Edwards Jr. and fiancee Kathy Marks of Holiday, Fla., and Teresa French and companion Mike Burger of McLeansboro.
