JEAN LeFURGEY H0FFMAN, age 89, born November 28, 1917. She is a graduate of Florida State and Samford University. She was a member of Huffman Baptist Church. Mrs. Hoffman was a librarian at Auburn and a teacher for 60 years. She worked with the Salvation Army, Business and Professional Women, Symphony, the Republican Party, Chicago Press Club and Los Angeles Press Club. She was past president of American Library Association. She will be missed by friends and family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lamar C. Hoffman; and parents, William James LeFurgey and Viola Hulgan LeFurgey. She is survived by her niece and nephews, Jane E. Marshall, Charles E. Marshall, Jr.; sister, Betty L. Culver; nephews, David Cockerham and Benny Cockerham. Visitation will be Sunday, November 25, 2007 from 12 to 2 pm at Roebuck Chapel. Funeral will be Sunday, November 25, 2007 at 2:00 pm at Roebuck Chapel with burial at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville. Ridout's Roebuck Chapel directing.
