Gregoire Lenoir was born on March 27, 1924 in Belcourt, ND, the son of Louis and Mary Emily (Peltier) Lenoir. He married Donna Brunelle on May 5, 1975 in Minot, ND. Greg was a member of the Local 793 Ironworkers Union for over 50 years and had worked in all but three of the fifty states during his career. He loved being outdoors, but his primary concern was always for his family and friends. His ironworker friends called him "The FBI".
Greg passed away on Momday, May 1, 2006 in Grant County, ND.
Greg will be deeply missed by all who survive him, including his wife, Donna of Center; his children: Melissa Lenoir and John L. Sullivan of Ogema, MN, Pamela Lenoir and Lon Russell of Stanton, Carol and George Fulford of Norfolk, VA, Rose and Ron Ballinger of Ogema, MN, Kenny and Judy Lenoir of Olympia, WA, Calvin and Deb Lenoir of Mahnomen, MN and Bill Lenoir of Center; 32 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchilden; one great-great-grandchild; sister, Eva Wilkie of Belcourt; his mother-in-law, Marie Hass of Kenmare, ND; 5 sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Greg was preceded in death by his parents; his sons, Greg "Putsky" and Gary; daughter, Melinda Randolph; and infant children, Chad and Renae.
Services for Gregoire Lenoir were held Friday, May 5, 2006 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Center, ND with Reverend Lisa Ahlness officiating. Burial was at Center Community Cemetery, Center, North Dakota.
