Football, Basketball, and Track Coach; Educator; Inventor. Son of Albert S. Stackhouse and Florence L. Farnsworth. Married Sophie Marie Hansen, Dec. 20, 1930. Coached at the University of Michigan, Stanford; Slippery Rock University; Lincoln University; and Willamette University. The first coach to arrange a competition between a Caucasian college team and an African-American university. He taught the first television course on sex education; and was the inventor and designer of a vast number of athletic track and field items, and founder of an innovative athletic equipment company. He initiated the Willamette Relays, a popular track and field event in Salem, Oregon. Coach Stackhouse was a 1992 inductee into Willamette University's Sports Hall of Fame. Coach Stackhouse was also a loving and beloved husband and father of two.
