Services for Beth Mitchell, 51, 1705 N. Mesa St., are pending with Denton Funeral Home. She died June 23, 1987, in an Albuquerque hospital.

She was born May 3, 1936, in Colorado Springs, Colo., and married George Mitchell on July 10, 1973, in Tucson, Ariz. They moved to Carlsbad in 1979. She was a homemaker, enjoyed stamp collecting, and was a member of the La Huerta Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, George, Carlsbad; three sons, George Edward Leight, Pennsylvania; Robert Mitchell, Vermont, and James Mitchell, Carlsbad; three daughters, Donna Kerstetter, Pennsylvania, Jacqueline Menuey and Jeanette Mitchell, both of Carlsbad; an aunt, Carmen Wilson, Tucson, Ariz.; and eight grandchildren.

Services for Beth Mitchell, 51, 1705 N. Mesa St., have been scheduled Friday at 2 p.m. in the Denton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gerald Harden, La Huerta Baptist Church, officiating. Burial is to be held in Carlsbad Cemetery.

Pallbearers include: John Gifford, Charles Keeney, Melvin Pyeatt, James S. Thompson, Fred Seamans and Kenneth Hirst.
