Joshua married Mary Kavanaugh and lived in Arkansas in 1840. They moved to Newton Co. MO and in about 1876 moved to Bell Co. TX. In 1900 census Mary is living with son Samuel Houston Bristow in Bell Co.TX. By 1910 Sam H. Bristow had moved his family to Erath Co. TX where they lived out their days.
