Mrs. Steenberg died Thursday, May 5 at the Highland nursing home in Massena, where she had been a patient for several years, following a fractured hip. She was born in Massena May 3, 1896, a daughter of Israel and Helen Jaycox Dodge. She was married to Howard Steenberg of Winthrop, Nov. 22, 1915 at the Congregational parsonage, Winthrop, with the Rev. William C. Watson officiating. Mr. Steenberg died in 1954.
Mrs. Steenberg is survived by one son, Wendell E. Steenberg, Ogdensburg; four daughters, Mrs. Theodore (Helen) Lesperance, Waddington; Mrs. William (Joyce) Griffith , Brasher Falls; Mrs. Herbert (Doris) Lavair, Helena; and Mrs. Jennie Evans, Brasher Falls; two sisters, Mrs. Zella Dodge, West Stockholm; and Mrs. Carleton (Beulah) Niles, Moira; seven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Burial was made in Winthrop cemetery.
