OWLS HEAD - Clifford L. Achorn, 58, of Ash Point Road, died March 7 at his residence. He was born in Rockland June 13, 1912, teh son of George A. and Marcia (Gross) Achorn. He was a member of the Central Maine Power Company Old Timers Club and the Rockland Odd Fellows. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor (Sylvester) Achorn of Owls Head; two daughters, Mrs. Sally Brewster of Rockland and Mrs. Linda Dean of Owls Head; one son, Carl L. Achorn of Edwater, Fla.; three sisters, Mrs. Mildred Bald of Owls Head, Mrs. Jessie Meservy of Rockland and Pauline Sylvester of Massachusetts; three brothers, George of Rockland, Roland and Clyde of Sarasota, Fla., and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Carpenter Funeral Home in Rockland with the Rev. Richard H. Hopkins officiating. Burial will be in Achorn Cemetery in Rockland. Friends may call at the Funeral home Tuesday evening.
