He was born March 21, 1973, in Lorain. He attended Lorain High School, where he played football and basketball. A member of Friendship Baptist Church of Lorain, he sang in the choir and served as an usher.
Carter was employed as a warehouse supervisor for Buske Lines Inc. in Louisville. He enjoyed music and shopping and was an avid sports fan.
Survivors include his fiance, Laketra Sherley of Louisville; his mother, Annette Carter of Lorain; father and stepmother ,Keven and Mary McDaniel of Atlanta; sisters Monique Carter of Louisville, Tiffany Crisp and Tasha Mickens, both of Atlanta, and Ashley Noble of Lorain; brothers Benji Taylor of Louisville, Carl Graham of Lorain and Andre D. Miller of Cleveland; paternal grandmother, Shirley E. Lighty of Lorain; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Jessie and Birdie Carter, Jake Lighty Sr. and Lucius McDaniel.
Friends may call Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of service at noon at Friendship Baptist Church, 2160 Reeves Ave. The Rev. John R. Jackson, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
