Dorothy Catherine Dillon, 82, of Tyrone, died Tues., Jan. 11, 2011 at Altoona Hospital. She was born in Tyrone to John R. & Dena (Snyder) Reader. She married Harry S. Dillon on Dec. 23, 1950, in Tyrone. Survived by husband; sons: Harry, Jr. & wife, Ann, of Tyrone and John & wife, Sandie, of Morann; daughter, Sherry of Tyrone; grandson, Harry, III 'Chip' & wife, Rhonda, of Tyrone; and brothers: Fred of Tyrone and Bob of Hawk Run. Predeceased by brothers: Albert 'Bud' & Roy Reader. Dorothy was a 1946 graduate of Tyrone High School and a Protestant. Before her marriage and until the birth of her first child, she was employed at Big Yank, Tyrone. Dorothy had a special bond with animals and nursed many sick and injured animals back to health. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, music and preserving all the fruits and vegetables from her garden. She loved her family and pets. Feller Memorial Home, Tyrone. Interment, Bald Eagle Cemetery.
