Jennie C. Borda, 93, Valley View Home, died Tues., Jan. 11, 2011 at the home. She was born in Altoona to Michael A. & Julia (Benedetto) Valentino. She married the late Louis Borda. Survived by son, Rodney, of Mechanicsburg; 2 granddaughters; 3 sisters: Mae Solomon and Helen Issac, both of Pittsburgh, and Josephine Shamas of Altoona; and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers: Edward, Guido and infant Daniel; and sisters: Elsie, Vera and Clara. Jennie was a graduate of Altoona High School and retired as a clerk from the federal government at the Naval Supply Depot, Mechanicsburg. She was a member of First Church of Christ. Jennie was very dedicated to and loved her sisters, brothers, family and church. She also enjoyed traveling. Santella Funeral Home, Altoona. Interment, Oak Ridge Cemetery.
