Eva Perry Thomas, 77, a seamstress, of the 4000 block of Fourth St. , died Sept. 20, 1993, in a Chesapeake hospital.
She was born in Bertie County , N.C. and was the widow of Walter Ralph Thomas. She was a member of South Norfolk Baptist Church , the WMU, and the Esther Bible Class. She was retired from Sears and Roebuck Company.
She is survived by two daughters, Joan Ross and Louise Jones, both of Chesapeake; two sons, Henry Thomas of Chesapeake and Donald Thomas of Lynchburg; four sisters, Mary ''Sis'' Harrison of Windsor, N.C., Dorothy Coltrain of Everetts, N.C., Grace Wright of Norfolk, and Barbara ''Dink'' Hardison of Chesapeake; four brothers, William Perry, Robert ''Jake'' Perry, and Dennis Perry, all of Ahoskie, N.C., and Tommy Perry of Lewiston, N.C.; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the South Norfolk Baptist Church and conducted by Rev. Roger Mardis and Rev. Frank Hughes, Jr. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens . The family will receive friends 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, and at the residence at all other times.
