GARVIN, Mr. Christopher C. was born on December 17th, 1922 In Greenville, MS. to the union of Jack and Addie Garvin. On January 10th, 2011 Chris was called into the eternal rest and peace of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Chris was a Veteran of World War II and was employed at DESC Electronics for 37 years before retiring in 1986. He was a faithful member of St. Benedict the Moor Catholic Church, and was also part of the Knights of Peter Claver.

He was preceeded in death by his parents Jack and Addie Garvin, brothers William and Orzia Garvin, and sisters Katie Simpson and Jessie Lowe. He leaves many to Cherish his memory. His loving and devoted wife of 55 years and care giver, Mrs Bettie J. Garvin precious and loving children, Christopher A. Garvin of Dayton, Sherri (Jerome like a son) Garvin-Johnson of Indianapolis, niece Barbara (David) Green of Los Angeles, brothers in law Ronald an Richard Wright of Dayton, and sisters in law Joan Payne of Dayton and Eleanor Stewart of Denver, Colorado.
