US Governor. Served in the United States Army during World War II (1939-1945). Served as Governor of Wyoming from 1959 to 1961. Also served as United States District Attorney for Wyoming from 1949 to 1953, United States Senator from Wyoming from 1961 to 1962, and Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit from 1966 to 1970.
