Daphne Louise McNiel, 89, of Christiansburg, Va., passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2011.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Ralph McNiel; daughter, Mary Ann Poff; sister, Marie Wimmer; and brothers, Lamer, Harless, Wesley and Winston Wimmer.
She is survived by her son, James Dan McNiel; four daughters and sons-in-law, Sue Ellen and Terry Altizer, Carol and Stan Clower, June McNiel and Frank Wallace, and Betty McNiel and Kevin Killeen; 10 grandchildren, Lance Altizer (Christine), Scott Altizer (Debbie), Suzanne Altizer Baker (Tim), Rick Clower, Janine Clower Drum (Russ), Tim Fisher Poff (Michelle), Jim Poff (Dao), Alana Killeen, Trevor Killeen and Danielle McNiel; nine greatgrandchildren; brother, Ray Wimmer (Marie June); sisters, Dorothy Meredith and Lois Epperly; and sisters-in-law, Helen Janney, LZ Wimmer and Diana Wimmer.
