Services for Jeff C. Davis, 82, Ada, will be at a later date at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri. Mr. Davis died Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at an Ardmore Veterans Center. He was born July 15, 1928 in Pontotoc County, Oklahoma to Wilson and Josephine "Daisey" Cravatt Davis. He was reared from birth by his foster-paretns, aunt and uncle, Ed and Stella Cravatt Norman. He attended Pontotoc schools and graduated from Pontotoc High School. He married Nena Mae Owensby August 25, 1950. He later married Norma Roberta Hille Pochek on October 18, 1967 in Miami, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on February 15, 1981 in Illinois. Mr. Davis served in the U. S. Army from May 17, 1947 until January 23, 1950. He later served in the U. S. Air Force from January 3, 1951 until retiring from the military on April 30, 1968. Mr. Davis moved to this area in 1981 from Tilden, Illinois. He was a member of the Methodist church. Survivors include three sons, Paul Davis and his wife Donna, Temecula, CA, Jeffery Davis and his wife Rebecca, Fontana, CA, and Thomas Davis, Ada; and a step-son, Greg Wiltz, Big Bear, CA; and other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents and a step-sister, Tina Wiltz.
