Owen Burt Curtis was born to Robert Bruce and Mary Jane Curtis at Sioux City, Iowa and departed this life March 30 at Portland, Oregon, age 76 years.

He had been in failing health for several years.

Mr. Curtis was married first to Beatrice Fitzgerald. Two sons of this union preceded their father in death. In 1926 he was united to Mrs. Gertrude Deles Dernier, moving to Portland in 1934.

He leaves to mourn his loss his wife, Gertrude, 2 daughters, Mrs. Mary Lou Davis of Haxby, Montana, Mrs. Essie Bertelson of Midland, So. Dakota, and one son, Rolland C. of Musselshell, Montana; two step children, Mrs. Ruth Haskins and Wm. Deles Dernier, one sister, Mrs. Mame Hubbard, all of Portland. Burial in Powell Grove Cemetery with Rev. Brown officiating.

Mrs. Curtis is a sister of Wm. Green, Mrs. Emil Repenn and Mrs. H. L. Prowett of north of Palmer.
