M. JEAN LAMPART, SURPRISE STORE RETIREE

M. Jean Lampart, 79, of 2244 Ferry St., Wilson Borough, died Tuesday, June 4, in Warren Hospital where she had been a patient since May 28.

At one time she was assistant manager and clerk for the Surprise Store in Easton and also at the former Falk's in Phillipsburg.

Born April 21, 1917, in Phillipsburg, she was a daughter of the late Peter R. and Delia Willever Huff. She resided in Wilson Borough for the last four years and previously resided in Phillipsburg.

She was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Phillipsburg where she was a former deacon of the church. She was past president of the Young At Heart Club of the church. She was a member of and past president of the Sunny Seniors of Phillipsburg. For many years she served on the election board in the Third Ward in Phillipsburg. She graduated from Phillipsburg High School, Class of 1935. She was an active member of the reunion committee, serving as its vice president.

Her husband, Samuel, died in 1991. She is survived by three sons, Peter J. of Easton, Glenn A., with whom she resided, and Wayne S. of Mount Pocono, PA; nieces and nephews. Two sisters, Marion Wallace and Mildred Dick, and a brother, Stanley, all died earlier.

Private cremation services will be held. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday from the Rupell Funeral Home, 465 Memorial Parkway, Phillipsburg. There will be no calling hours. Burial of the cremains will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine in Palmer Township. The family requests memorials to the Visiting Nurse Association of Easton, 3421 Nightingale Drive, Easton, PA 18043.
