She was born Aug. 17, 1958, in Cherster, S.C. She lived most of her life in Lorain.
She was a member of Second New Hope Baptist Church, Lorain. She enjoyed music, television and magazines and attended Lucy Idol School in Vermilion.
Survivors include her mother, Alice Willis of Lorain; sisters Betty Quattlebaum and Diane Kelsom, both of Lorain; brothers Ernest Cornwell Jr. of Elyria, David Cornwell of Louisville, Ky., Clarence Cornwell of Toledo and Herbert ''Chuckie'' Cornwell of Lorain; and an aunt and nephews, nieces and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Cornwell Sr.; and sister, Sheila Denise Cornwell.
Friends may call Wednesday from 11 a.m. until time of service at noon at Cathedral of Praise, 4545 Elyria Ave., Lorain. Elder Melvin Brown, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
