She was born Aug. 15, 1911, in Bedford, Pa., and had been a Lorain resident since 1916. She graduated from Lorain High School.
Mrs. Bonilla retired from U.S. Steel in 1969.
She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Lorain. She enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include her daughters Thelma Atkinson, Maria Bonilla and Juana Charlton, all of Lorain; son, Lloyd Atkinson of Lorain; 34 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Tamar (nee Plowden) Harris; daughters Shirley Carter (nee Atkinson) and Sherry Rivera (nee Atkinson); and sons Richard Atkinson and Charles Atkinson.
Friends may call Thursday 7 to 9 p.m. at Brown-Robinson Funeral Home, 2652 Broadway, Lorain. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Wesley United Methodist Church, 220 W. 7th St., Lorain. Elder Ernest Battles, pastor of Mt. Nebo Primitive Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
