Mrs. Mary Landon Eldridge, relict of the late George W. Eldridge, was born in the town of Salisbury, Conn. Sept. 22, 1818, and died in West Stockholm. N. Y., May 10, 1905, aged 86 years, 6 months and 17 days. At the age of ten years she went to Live with an uncle in New Haven, Vermont.
She was married with Mr. G. W. Eldrldge March 5, 1839, and by the death of Mr. Eldridge they were separated Nov. 12, 1860, having lived together 21 years. They came to West Stockholm in 1840.
Their home was blessed with eight children, three boys and five girls, all of whom lived to adulthood, save one boy who departed at a young age.
Four daughters still survive; Miss Jane Eldridge and Mrs. Frank Clark of Bridgeport, Conn.; Mrs. O. P. Stearns of Winthrop; and Miss Chloe Eldridge of West Stockholm.
The funeral was held from her late home Friday, May 12, Rev. W. F. Tooke having charge. Interment at West Stockholm.
