Katie Pearl was born July 6, 1890 in Linn County, the daughter of Jack and Eliza Reuck Collier. She married Harry Strickland, who preceded her in death on April 21, 1943.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Nadine Upton and Mrs. Verlena Hodgerson, both of Burlington; a son, Harry, Paris, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Staples, LaFeria, Tex., and Mrs. Grace Tarpening, Brookfield; 16 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
