Amanda was the daughter of William Nelson Williams and Nancy Coleman Smith Williams. Her parents were both born in Ga.
William and Nancy had the following children;
1. Henrietta b. 1828
2. Richard b. 1830
3. Amanda Elizabeth b. 1835
4. Jane b. 1837
5. Lucinda b. 1838
6. George b. 1839
7. Jacob b. 1840
8. Martha Lavicy b. 1843
9. Nancy Caroline b. 1845
10. James Franklin b. 7 Aug, 1848 Alabama m. Louisa Della Helm from Anderson County, Texas, 10 Aug 1871,
Anderson County, Texas.
Died; 1926 Malakoff, Texas
11. Paul Haywood b. 1851
Her parents and some of her brothers and sisters are buried in Houston Co, Texas.
All of the children were born in Ala.
The family lived there and was found on the Roscoes, Dallas Co, Alabama 1850 Census.

Amanda married A. Elisha Walling in Houston County, Texas.
Marriage license, Palestine, Anderson County on 3 Feb 1857.
They lived in the Daly community out of Grapeland, Texas.
She went with Elisha and her family to Erath County, Stephenville, Texas. He died there after 1890. She was said to have moved to Terrell, Texas to a daughter's home after his death.
I could find no record of her burial there.
Upon further investigation, I have found she had no daughter that lived in Terrell Texas. I found a 1900 San Antonio, Bexar Co, Texas Census
from Southwestern Insane Asylum that showed AMANDA WALLING, a white female, age 66, widowed, born in Alabama. (fits her age, Etc) could this possibly be her? I found a death record of Mrs Amanda Walling, Sept 1905, Bexar Co, Texas. Probably same lady.
Could this have been her as well? I know we as family members would not want to believe this could be her, but who knows for sure.

They had the following children;
1. Charles (Charlie) b. Nov 13, 1857 **my grand-grandfather
2. James b. Feb 20,1859 (he may be in an unmarked grave)
3. Jesse b. 1861
4. Susan b. Apr 26, 1862 (I found a record of Susan dying young).
5. Lawson (Buddie) b. 1865 I found him on 1880 census, age 15, Houston Co, Texas (he will be in an unmarked grave)
6. Polly b. Oct 16, 1867
7. Nancy C.. b. Dec 3 1869
8. Elisha b. Aug 15, 1872
9. Elizabeth b. Aug 6, 1875
10. Hosea Mar 6, 1879

I have linked seven of her children to her.

Three children I have not found yet. Susan, James and Lawson (Buddie)

A. Elisha and Amanda Williams Walling were my G-G-Grandparents.

Son; Elisha Walling 1872-1935
