Mary Jane Hatmaker Sharp 81, of Lake City died Friday, June 21, 1996 in
Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. Mrs. Sharp born Nov 26, 1914, in
Campbell County was a member of Pine Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded
in death by her husband, Charles Franklin Sharp, in 1993, sons, Arthur
Thomas "Tommy" Sharp and Bobby Lee "Bob" Sharp; parents, Arthur and Betty Chadwick
Hatmaker; granddaughter, Susan Sharp; four brothers and three sisters. Survivors are daughters and
sons-in-law, Betty L and Charles Stephens of Lake City, Mary Sue and Gene
Horner of Lake City and Nancy J and Bill Beasley of Tacoma, Wash; son and
daughter-in-law, Bill "B. J." and Marcella Sharp of Richmond, VA; 13
grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; sister Clara Wilson of LaFollette.
Family received friends 6:30-8:30 p.m. Sunday, June 23, in Cox Funeral Home,
Lake City. Funeral service was 8:30 p.m. Sunday in Cox Funeral Home chapel
with the Rev Howard Robbins and Rev Mike Foust officiating. Interment was
10:30 a.m. Monday, June 24, in Leach Cemetery. Obit From Gloria Fay (Harmon) Burris.
