SANDY RIDGE - Georgia Virginia Fagg Roark, 83, of 1259 Frank Joyce Rd, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2011, at Stokes Reynolds Memorial Hospital. The Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, January 14, 2011, at North View Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Milton Gunter and Elder Lewis Vass officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Stuart, VA. Mrs. Roark was born on May 5, 1927, in Forsyth County to the late Percy and Macy Mabe Fagg. She was a homemaker and a member of North View Primitive Baptist Church for 56 years. She loved knitting, gardening, and yard work. Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Grover S. Roark; sons, Darrell Grey (Sandra) Roark of Clemmons and Larry Wayne Roark of the home; a granddaughter, Suzanne Elizabeth (Donnie) Peaks; great-grandchildren, Trey Mitchell Price, Olivia, Madeline, Sophia, and Isabelle Stenson, and Brianna Jordan; step-grandchildren, Elizabeth Jordan, Melissa (David) Stenson and Jonathan Jordan. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm, Thursday, January 13, 2010, at Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel and other times at the residence. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Patrick/Henry/Stokes Alzheimers Group, c/o Sally Smith, 2448 S. Mayo Drive, Stuart, VA 24171.
