Oliver Joseph Feay

Mr. Feay, 58, died Sunday at home following a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born March 26, 1926, in Sioux Falls, S.D. and had been a Colorado Springs resident since 1973.

He served as an auto maintenance foreman with the Army, from which he retired in 1974 after 27 years of service. Among his service medals were the Army Commendation Meritorious Service medals. He was a member of the Congregational Church, Non-Commissioned officers Association, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American Veterans.

He married Amy Morton on Aug. 21, 1964, in Fort Riley, Kan.

Survivors are his wife, three sons, Charles and Orlan, both of Colorado Springs, and Terry of West Palm Beach, Fla,; a daughter, Debra of Anchorage, Alaska; his father, Henry of Hill City, S.D.; two brothers, Richard of Lincoln, Neb., and James of Shawan, Wis., three sisters, Elenor Mortenson, Doris Graham, and Judy Greer, all of Sioux Falls; and three grandchildren.

Services for Oliver Joseph Feay of Security will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in Soldiers Memorial Chapel, Fort Carson, with Chaplain (Capt.) David Canada, officiating. Burial will be in Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver. Friends may call until 8 p.m. today at Dove-Witt Funeral Home, 1845 Main St., Security.
