OGDEN - Peggy Lee Houghton, 53, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, niece, friend has left her earthly stewardship as we now know it and stepped into the welcoming arms of loved ones who have waited so long beyond our mortal view.

We felt you pause to understand our unwillingness to let you go. Thank you for lingering yet awhile; we cherish these treasured moments of lasting bonds. We grieve now for our loss yet celebrate with you your ability to walk again by "Spring" realized when Father called you home.

Peggy was the daughter of William Leon Coburn and Idella Marie Birkinbine. She was born August 10, 1948 in Wendall, Idaho. She came to Ogden at the age of 10.

She married Theron D. Houghton on November 16, 1966.

She was a member of the Rushton Height Ward, Ogden Stake. She had served in scouting and was currently a visiting teacher supervisor.

Surviving are her husband, two sons, Jeffery Theron (Cathy) Houghton, San Diego, CA; Donald Randall (Nila) Houghton, Puyallup, WA; seven grandchildren, Amber, Brandon, Cody, Amanda; Drew, Olivia, Krista. Three brothers, Farrell Coburn, Boise, ID; Paul Coburn, Madison, ALA; Dennis Coburn, West Yellowstone, MT; one sister, Faye Moore, Layton; her mother-in-law and friend Reva Houghton, Ogden. Also surviving are a special uncle who helped form her early years, Jack Coburn, Smithfield, other aunts and uncles, cousins, and friends who will all miss her.

Preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Celia, one brother, Nolan, precious step-mom, Clara Coburn and endearing Aunt Lenora Coburn.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 6, 2002, at 11 a.m. at Lindquist"s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. with Bishop Sidney Palmer, officiating.

Friends and family may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist"s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.
