Most have his DOB as 9 May 1860 instead of 9 September, I believe the May date to be correct.

Dr Frederick Perine Todd was an 1888 graduate of the University of Maryland, Dental Department. His older brother George Swain Todd (3 August 1858-1 March 1905) was also a dentist who graduated in 1885 from the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery and practiced at 539 Spruce and later at 823 N. Broad St., Philadelphia.

At the age of 30, Dr. F.P. Todd married Melle Stuart, age 22, on 12 November 1890.

Funeral services for Dr. Frederick Perine Todd, who died Saturday, were conducted yesterday morning at the home, 101 Woodlawn road, Roland Park, by the Rev. Charles A. Bushong, pastor of Trinity Reformed Church. Burial was in Loudon Park Cemetery.

Dr. Todd practised dentistry in North Baltimore for forty years, retiring about a year ago. Surviving are his widow, who was Miss Melle Stuart, of Boston, Ohio; four children, Mrs. R.G. Henriques of Chicago; Mrs. Florence T. Losey, Miss Nellie Todd and George B. Todd, and a sister, John M. Hoffman.

Were Early Settlers

Dr. Todd's family were among the first English settlers in New England. One ancestor, John Dunham, came over in the Mayflower[*]. Members of the family distinguished themselves in the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812.

His Father, Dr. George B. Todd, was a surgeon on the Montauk at the Navy Yard, Washington, and helped perform the autopsy on John Wilkes Booth. He was an eyewitness to the assassination of President Lincoln. Dr. George Todd materially aided stamping out yellow fever in Florida, contracting the disease in his work.
