He was a gunsmith for the Firearms Division of Colt Industries Inc. for 35 years, retiring in 1974. He was a World War II Air Force veteran.
He leaves two brothers, Herman L Knott of Middleton and Arthur R Knott of Baltimore, MD., and a sister Mrs Mae Popik of East Hartford.
