Richard C Knott, 58, of 64-D Hendricks Ave., died Saturday in West Haven Veterans Administration Hospital. Born in Springfield, he lived in Hartford most of his life. He was a gunsmith for the Firearms Division of Colt Industries Inc. for 35 years, retiring in 1974. He was a World War II Air Force veteran.

He leaves two brothers, Herman L Knott of Middleton and Arthur R Knott of Baltimore, MD., and a sister Mrs Mae Popik of East Hartford.

The funeral: Tuesday, 10am, Rocky Hill Veterans Home and Hospital Protestant Chapel, West Street, Rocky Hill.

Buriel: Col. Raymond F. Gates Cemetery, Rocky Hill.

Calling Hours: today, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Rose Hill Funeral Home, 5800 Elm St., Rocky Hill.
