John A. McKinley, 72, died Saturday at his residence, 2604 E. Eighth St.
He was born in Cammack, attended Cammack School and Yorktown High School, and spent his entire life in this area.
Mr. McKinley was employed more than 11 years with City Machine before his illness and earlier was employed with several area machine shops. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Surviving are his wife, Kathryn (Pat) Scott McKinley; two daughters, Phyllis Jayne Gentry, Ontario, Calif., and Jo Ann Curtis, Alexandria, Va.; three sons, John M. McKinley, Rochester, Minn., Michael Jay and David Lynn McKinley, both of Muncie; six sisters, Velma Paul, Nellie Clark, Alice Nelson, Edith House, and Betty (Mrs. Donald) DeWitt, all of Muncie, and Maxine (Mrs. Al) Blessent, Upland, Calif.; a brother, Robert E. McKinley, Albuquerque, N.M.; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Rev. Paul Cochran will celebrate mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Hawk Cemetery. Calling is 4-9 p.m. Thursday at Meeks Mortuary, where a scripture service will be held at 7 p.m.
