George was born in Ashland, Nebraska and died January 8 in Los Angeles.
Shedd began writing after his graduation from the University of Nebraska, where he served as captain of the football team. In 1905 Shedd was the secretary of the Nebraska commission at the Lewis and Clark exposition in Portland, Oregon.
He authored a number of books including ‘The Canyon of Conflict,' ‘The Isle of Strife,' ‘The Iron Furrow,' ‘Cryder of the Big Woods' and ‘The Lady of Mystery House' among others. He also wrote articles for a number of magazines including:
‘West,' ‘The Popular Magazine' and ‘The Argosy.' Shedd at one time resided at 218 South 20th Street in Omaha, NE, the building no longer exists. Writer – 2 titles: The Incorrigible Dukane (1915), Cold Steel (1921).
