Motion Picture Producer and Director. He created his London Films production company in 1933, using Big Ben as its logo. His successes include "The Private Life of Henry VIII" (1933), "That Hamilton Woman" (1941) and "An Ideal Husband"(1947), all of which he directed, "The Four Feathers" (1939) and "Jungle Book" (1942), both directed by his brother Zoltan, and "The Thief of Bagdad"(1940) and "Anna Karenina" (1948). His films led to early breaks for the likes of Laurence Olivier and David Lean. He became the first British film producer to receive a knighthood.
