Motion Picture Producer. He created his London Films production company in 1933, using Big Ben as its logo. His success include "The Private Life of Henry VIII" (1933), "The Thief of Bagdad"(1940) and "An Ideal Husband"(1947). His films led to early breaks for the likes of Laurence Olivier and David Lean. He became the first British film producer to receive a knighthood.
