Baseball Figure. He was a former major league baseball player (he played outfield for the 1936 Union City Greyhounds and Dodgers), who discovered the St. Louis Cardinal's Stan Musial. He was a member of the St. Louis Baseball Hall of Fame, the National Baseball Scouting Hall of Fame and the Professional Baseball Scouting Association.
