Cecil E. Harvey, 81, died Sunday, January 09, 2011, at his residence. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 12, 2011, in Texas State Veterans Cemetery, with Chaplain Donna Kleman officiating, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, Abilene.

Cecil was born February 4, 1929, to Ruby (Yarbrough) and Baxter Harvey in Haskell, Texas. He served two years in the United States Marines during the Korean Conflict. Cecil married JoVeta Wallace. He worked most of his life in the oil industry and was self-employed.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jack Harvey.

Survivors include his wife, JoVeta Harvey of Abilene; two daughters, Nancy Neble of Laredo, Texas and Sue Heath of Abilene; grandchildren, T. J. Neble, David Neble, Jonathan Neble, all of Abilene, Jennifer Heath of Bastrop, Melissa Sisco of Potosi, and Daniel Heath of Abilene; four great-grandson; three great-granddaughters; and his dog, Bo.

Memorials may be sent to the donor's charity of choice.
