Memorial services were held for Keith L. Yeager, 63, of Bloomfield, Nebr. at 10:30 a.m. in the United Methodist Church. The Rev. Gary Aten officiated. Keith passed away in his home early Tuesday morning, August 2, 1988. Interment was at the Bloomfield Cemetery.
Keith Lyle Yeager, a life-long resident of Bloomfield, was born December 16, 1924. His parents were Leon and Irene Yeager.
Keith attended elementary and high school in Bloomfield. He was baptized and confirmed in the Methodist Church. Keith served in the Armed Forces for 2 1/2 years in New Guinea and the Phillipines. Upon his discharge from the service, he was employed with the Hunt Telephone Company, which is now known as Great Plains Communications. He remained with the company for 41 years until his retirement on July 1, 1988.
Keith married Hilda Junge in 1948 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church. Keith and Hilda lived in Bloomfield all their married life except for three years when Keith accepted a transfer to Sutherland. He served as a volunteer fireman for 15 years and as a Cub Scout leader for several years.
Keith will be missed by many friends and relatives. The immediate family members are his wife, Hilda (Junge) Yeager, Bloomfield, son Randy, Omaha, daughter Diana Yeager and two granddaughters, Heather and Dawn Hydorn, all of Phoenix, Ariz.; one sister, Barbara Wendt, Sunnyvale, Calif.; and a brother, Kenneth Yeager of Daves, Calif.
