William Arthur, 25 years of Age Died from Fractured Skull When Borrowed Roadster Which He was Driving Crashed Into Tree at East Marion Sunday Night. His Two Companions Henry Stulsky of Greenport and Ambrose Biddle of Mattituck Who Were Uninjured Fled From Scene.

William Arthur who was 25 years of age made his home with his stepfather, Fred Backer (s/b Becker) of Washington Heights. For 9 years he had been employed as clerk in the hardware store of the late Benjamin Ballen of Greenport. Funeral services were held on Wednesday April 22nd at St Agnes R C Church, Rev John H King, Rector of the church, officiating. Interment was in St Agnes Cemetery. Surviving Mr Arthur are one brother Francis Arthur of Greenport and a sister, Miss Margaret Arthur of Brooklyn.
