Christopher O. Herring, age 28, born July 24, 1979, formerly of Eugene, Ore., passed away on Friday, February 29, 2008.

He is survived by his children, Paxton Wyatt Herring of Indiana, Merle John and Adelaide Lee Herring of Pennsylvania; mother and stepfather, Elizabeth S. and Joseph W. Fisher Sr. of Eugene, Ore.; brother and
sister-in-law, Joseph R. and Stephanie W. Herring of Richmond, VA; sister,
Catherine Elizabeth Fisher of Eugene; grandmother, Dorothy P. Seawell of Richmond, VA; and niece, Ashleigh Danielle Herring.

Chris graduated from Willamette High School in 1998 and attended Lane Community College. He was an avid "Ducks" fan and he loved the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Chris was a gifted musician and he was self-employed as a General Contractor. Chris was the best "Papa" – he adored his children and they reciprocated his feelings. He was a very charismatic young man and will be greatly missed by those who loved him.

His family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rte. 10). His funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at the Funeral Home.

Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
