It was told that he went into Col. area to do some minning Leaving his children with Henrich Driesel his brother to take care of. Later one of his sons came to Col to help him. Frome there he came back to Missiouri to work on an Riverboat. His wife Martha had died in 1899 by Seymour Texas on the trail.
