Mr. Arey died Saturday, Jan. 22, at his residence.
He was born Sept. 27, 1933 in Farmersville. Mr. Arey was a sub contractor inspector for gas, oil and fiber optics.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of Lakeside Community Baptist Church in Flint and was a life member of the VFW. Mr. Arey was honored as hometown hero in Farmersville.
He was preceded in death by a son, Billy W. Arey.
Survivors include his wife, Rita Arey of Frankston; a brother, John Arey and his wife Joan of Farmersville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
