Mrs. Nancy Rollins Ferguson, age 70, of Athens passed away, Friday, January 7, 2011 at Woods Memorial Hospital.
A native and life-long resident of McMinn County, she was a daughter of the late Lee and Mary Queen Rollins and was preceded in death by two brothers, T. L. Rollins and Robert Edwin "Bob" Rollins.
A member of East Athens Baptist Church, she was a graduate of the 1960 Class of McMinn County High School.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Franklin E. Ferguson, of Athens; two daughters, Mary Ann Ferguson Moore of Athens, Judy Ferguson Ware of Nashville, and adopted daughter, Susan Hayes of Athens; grandchildren, January Ware, Ayla Ware and Justin Moore; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Mildred & Millard Vincent of Athens, Frances Mendenhall of Chattanooga, Betty & Roy Coleman of Chattanooga, and Barbara & Richard Morgan of Ooltewah; two sisters-in-law, Elsie Rollins and Geraldine Rollins of Athens; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 11, 2011 in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with Rev. Pete Mullins officiating.
Interment will follow in McMinn Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Justin Moore, Randy Coleman, Ronnie Coleman, Allen "Pooch" Mendenhall, Rusty Rollins and David Vincent.
The family will receive friends Monday, January 10, 2011, from 5:00-7:30 P.M.
