Sheriff's office reports the death of Harry Charles Carpenter, age 72, apparently sometime during the night of July 24th or early morning of July 25th at his home app0roximately five miles east of Wickenburg on the Phoenix Highway. He body was discovered by Mrs Norma Shirley, a neighbor, when she called to leave him a copy of the paper.
An inquest was held Tuesday afternoon conducted by Justice of the Peace Lester Skrumbellos in his capacity as ex-officio corner.
Mr. Carpenter had lived on the Phoenix Highway for the past several years. He is survived by a sister, Ella E. Riggle of Phoenix and a niece, Ione Sharp of Tempe.
