Louise married Joseph E. Merrill on 14 Feb 1924. She was a stay-at-home mom to their two children, Joseph Edward "Ted" Merrill and Barbara "Bobbi" Merrill. She remained healthy, witty and very active until her sudden death from a congenital heart condition. She was an excellent seamtress, especially making dance costumes for her sister's dance academy and was an artist of some note in the local community, leaving behind many beautiful paintings, enamels and drawings.
